Lost...and Found

Miko, a lhasa apso, was in the road one night while we were walking a pack of dogs. We found his owner after a couple of days through his tag. Check out his cute outfit. Getting to know you, Buddy.
On a hike.
Ah, home again!

Hoss

"Hoss" is an American Staffordshire Terrier. After a week of "boot camp," he is getting ready for adoption.
Learning to sit and stay at the threshold.
Side stance, all muscle.
Exploring the canyons. Blending in with the environment. He belongs here.

Hoss 'n' water (and Piglet).

Hoss in rocks.

Hoss update: We are very pleased to report Hoss has found a home. They kept his name, but spell it Hauss. We wish them all the very best and are so happy Hoss came into our lives.

Hoss with the pack

Hiking on the Tabeguache.
Napping in the back.
Running with the pack. Hitting the sack.

Nick

Nick's owner said: "Nick was a Border Collie/Husky mix. Fantastic temperament, intelligent,high-energy and obviously gorgeous. He was a shelter dog, had parvo when I adopted him and turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime special dog. He was gone suddenly at 7 years from cancer we didn't know he had." Thank you to Gerry Marino for sharing these photos.

Mollie

Mollie's owner said: Mollie is a husky, german shepherd mix. She, too, came from the shelter, cute and lovable, but the worst dog in the world for the first 18 months! She finally turned out to be a keeper.

As a puppy. Overlooking the awesome view.

Mollie's owner said: "We watched this young male being driven away from the stallion's mares. He appeared somewhat confused and traumatized, and came right up to where we were on the rim. I believe he was looking for a friend. This shot was judged to be an "outstanding photo" by the lab that processed the film, and certainly is a favorite of mine." And certainly we agree. Thanks to Gerry Marino for sharing these beautiful pictures.

On the road again...with Buddy, Jasmine, and Chubs.

Bear and Sifu, at long last, friends

If you know Bear, you know these pictures are miraculous. It took Bear awhile to accept the cats as part of the pack; Sifu worked his way into Bear's heart.

Shelter dogs Piggy and Hoss

Piggy runs at the dog park.
